About Us

Mindful Minis was founded by Lucy and Carlos Hernandez, parents of two young children who share a passion for helping families build stronger connections and support children’s social-emotional development.
Lucy brings her background as a credentialed school counselor, early intervention specialist, and social-emotional learning advocate. Through years of working with children and families, she saw the importance of providing caregivers with practical, relationship-based tools that support emotional growth both at home and in everyday life.
Carlos brings the perspective of an engaged father, partner, and co-creator of the Mindful Minis vision. With his background in technology, he plays a key role in bringing the Mindful Minis vision through life through the development of the future Mindful Minis app, helping create tools that make social-emotional learning more accessible and practical for families.
Together, they believe that supporting children starts with supporting the grown-ups who guide them.
As parents themselves, they understand the joys, challenges, and realities of raising young children. Mindful Minis was created from a shared desire to make social-emotional learning approachable, meaningful, and accessible for families.
Their hope is to help families create more moments of connection, emotional safety, play, and presence—one small moment at a time.
